On Friday, a lively crowd of conservatives gathered to show their support for none other than President Donald Trump. Trump, never one to shy away from expressing his opinions, took the opportunity to criticize California’s prominent Democrats. As Politico reported, he put a unique California spin on his usual campaign message by speaking negatively about the state’s Democrats. “Together, we will reverse the decline of America and we will end the desecration of your once great state California,” he declared. Trump didn’t hold back, asserting that California has become nothing more than a dumping ground. Ouch!
Now, let’s talk about Trump’s upcoming election chances. Look, we all know that winning California in a general election is a tall order for Trump. However, let’s not forget that California boasts the largest pool of delegates in the Republican primary. And those delegates are up for grabs on March 5th. So, while winning the state may be a long shot, Trump is definitely still in the game.
But wait, there’s more! On that very same day, March 5th, Trump will likely find himself in court facing charges related to his attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Talk about a busy schedule! Despite the legal troubles looming, Trump doesn’t seem fazed. The former president didn’t even take a moment to acknowledge the passing of former senator Dianne Feinstein, who many considered to be a true political heavyweight in the state. Guess Trump had other priorities on his mind.
Oh boy, Trump’s hit list for the day didn’t disappoint. He took aim at Vice President Kamala Harris, Rep. Adam Schiff, Rep. Eric Swalwell, and Rep. Maxine Waters. In fact, he even claimed that if he were to speak the words of Maxine Waters, he would deserve an “electric chair times fifteen.” Yikes! Trump certainly knows how to stir the pot and get a reaction from his Democratic adversaries.

It wouldn’t be a Trump speech without a little bit of controversy. While talking about California’s governor, Gavin Newsom, Trump delivered a somewhat mixed assessment. He admitted to getting along with Newsom during his presidency, but made it clear that he didn’t agree with the governor’s positions. This is classic Trump, always one to keep us guessing. He even suggested, without providing any evidence, that Newsom’s support for him could have been a strategic move to undermine Joe Biden. Oh, the political intrigue!
Moving on to the gathering of the Republican Party in Anaheim, there were some heavy hitters in attendance. Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida, businessperson Vivek Ramaswamy, and Senator Tim Scott all had their moments in the spotlight. Unfortunately, Trump decided to skip the event, missing out on the opportunity to engage in a debate with his fellow candidates.
Let’s face it, the other Republican candidates just can’t compete with the level of excitement Trump brings to the table. In statewide Republican primary polls, Trump continues to maintain a commanding lead. It’s clear that he still holds significant sway and popularity within the party. Love him or hate him, you can’t deny that Trump knows how to captivate an audience and keep everyone on their toes.
