President Trump is finally taking action to clean up the mess at our nation’s museums. The White House ordered a complete review of eight major Smithsonian museums after years of anti-American exhibits that twist our history. These taxpayer-funded museums have been pushing left-wing propaganda instead of celebrating the greatest nation on earth.
The review uncovered shocking examples of bias throughout the Smithsonian. Museums were found promoting exhibits that focus obsessively on race, slavery, immigration and transgender identity rather than American achievements. One exhibit even described 19th-century circuses as expressing “the colonial impulse to claim domination over the world”. This is exactly the kind of America-hating nonsense that has infected our institutions.
The worst examples show how far these museums have fallen. They put up displays praising Dr. Anthony Fauci as an “infectious disease superstar” without mentioning any criticism of his failed pandemic response. They installed an Intersex-Inclusive Progress Pride flag and created exhibits that make slavery the center of American history. Even Benjamin Franklin displays focused mainly on slavery instead of his incredible contributions to our founding.
American taxpayers are paying over one billion dollars every year to fund this anti-American propaganda. Congress gives the Smithsonian about 1.1 billion dollars annually, which makes up two-thirds of their total budget. Hard-working families should not be forced to pay for exhibits that teach their children to hate America.
Trump signed his “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History” executive order to fix this problem. The order targets museums that have spent years “replacing objective facts with a distorted narrative driven by ideology rather than truth”. Finally, we have a president willing to fight back against the woke takeover of American history.
The Smithsonian has 120 days to start making changes to these biased exhibits. The review will continue into early 2026 to make sure every anti-American display gets fixed. Museums must now align their exhibits with American exceptionalism instead of pushing divisive racial ideology.
This fight matters because our children deserve to learn real American history. For too long, left-wing activists have used our museums to spread shame about our founding and promote social division. Patriots know that America is the greatest country ever created, and our museums should reflect that truth.
Trump is delivering on his promise to restore pride in American history. The days of taxpayer-funded America-bashing are coming to an end. Our museums will once again teach visitors about American greatness instead of filling them with guilt and shame about our past.
