Trump Leads Hurricane Relief Biden Falters in Federal Response

As the winds of Hurricane Helene have woven their destructive path, the federal response has blown through the political landscape like a breath of fresh air—if that air comes from a very foul source. The criticism has rolled in from both sides of the aisle, but the media has shown a remarkable affinity for focusing on Trump’s remarks, as if the former president is the only one allowed to speak during natural disasters.

During a recent speech in Valdosta, Georgia, Trump emphasized the need for federal assistance, citing the governor’s efforts to contact the federal government without much luck. His assertion that authorities would eventually come through has set off Democrats like a firecracker. President Biden, apparently not fond of the narrative Trump painted, hastily labeled him a liar. It seems that rather than coming together to help hurricane victims, the administration is more interested in throwing mud at a former president.

In an ironic twist, even the liberal media outlets couldn’t completely shift blame away from the Biden-Harris regime. Amid their attempts to downplay Trump’s actions, they had to concede that he was ahead of the curve with a rapid response to the disaster. Not only did Trump visit the affected areas, but he also launched a GoFundMe campaign that surpassed its goal by a staggering $3.6 million, proving once again that while Biden bumbles, Trump maneuvers like a true leader.

The narrative gets even juicier considering that Georgia’s own Republican Governor Brian Kemp has voiced his frustration with the federal response. Initially, when emergency declarations rolled out, only 11 counties were included, leaving many communities high and dry. After some back and forth with the White House, including a chat with the president’s chief of staff, they magically decided to expand the disaster declaration to encompass 30 more counties. One has to wonder why it took a phone call from Kemp to initiate this action.

Adding another layer of absurdity, FEMA has allegedly run short on funds just as it has been pouring resources into helping illegal immigrants. Instead of focusing on American citizens in desperate need due to a natural disaster, the Biden administration has prioritized non-citizens crossing the southern border, leaving many hurricane victims wondering if they even matter anymore.

While the mainstream media spins tales to cushion Biden and Harris’s poor handling of Hurricane Helene, bipartisan criticism continues to surface. Former Clinton advisor Doug Schoen voiced his astonishment on Fox News, declaring that the administration should have been in North Carolina taking substantive steps to assist communities—essentially, doing their job. The stark contrast between their inaction and Trump’s proactive approach could not be clearer, although the media desperately tries to convince the public otherwise. In reality, however, the mismatched responses from Washington reveal a troubling picture for the Biden-Harris administration that can hardly be spun into something positive.
