In a move that surely keeps him at the forefront of the news cycle, former President Donald Trump has taken legal action against Christopher Steele, the ex-MI6 agent responsible for the notorious “Steele Dossier.” This infamous document claimed that Trump had unsavory ties to Russian intelligence agencies, a claim that was ultimately proven false during the long and arduous “Russiagate” investigation.
Now, Trump is seeking justice by bringing a lawsuit against Steele and his company, Orbis Business Intelligence. Attorney Tim Lowles provided a statement on behalf of the former president, saying, “We have officially filed a claim against Orbis Business Intelligence Limited for their violation of UK Data Protection law. This claim stems from their inaccurate handling of President Donald J. Trump’s personal data following the publication of the debunked ‘Steele Dossier.’ Our aim is to rectify the false information contained within the dossier and seek compensation for the damages caused.”

It’s no secret that the Steele Dossier was full of wild allegations against Trump, including the infamous story of him supposedly enjoying some golden showers in a Moscow hotel room. It’s quite remarkable that something so outlandish was taken seriously by the media and used as the basis for so much speculation and investigation. Of course, it’s no surprise that this bogus document was funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign. It just goes to show the lengths some people will go to in order to discredit a political opponent.
The legal proceedings are set to begin with a two-day hearing on October 16, and we can only hope that this lawsuit will finally put an end to the false narratives and attempts to undermine the legitimacy of the Trump administration. It’s about time the truth prevails over baseless claims and political witch hunts.
