When CBS’s “60 Minutes” tried to pull a fast one with their disgraceful editing to make Kamala Harris appear more favorable, Trump responded with the kind of firm action that’s been long overdue. Filing a $20 billion lawsuit against the network, Trump has struck fear into the hearts of those who thought they could continue spinning their anti-Trump narratives without consequences.
Now, the chickens are coming home to roost. Bill Owens, a top “60 Minutes” producer, has thrown in the towel, claiming he can’t make decisions independently anymore. That’s liberal-speak for “I’m caught between a rock and a hard place.” It seems that when accountability finally came knocking, Owens chose to jump ship rather than steer the sinking vessel he helped create. CBS is in full crisis mode, and it’s deliciously ironic. These so-called journalists who dish it out daily can’t handle the heat when the tables turn.
And let’s call out the ridiculous hypocrisy here. Since when is any portion of the mainstream media held accountable for their biased reporting? The likes of CBS scream about journalistic integrity while editing interviews to suit their liberal agendas. But Trump’s lawsuit is shaking things up. Media elites who claim they are bastions of truth are scrambling, and Owens’ resignation only confirms the panic behind the scenes.
On social media, Americans see right through the nonsense. Owens didn’t resign on his own terms; he was shown the door. Resign or get fired—those seem to be the real choices. And why stop with Owens? How many more will face the music before this is all over?
This situation isn’t just a win for Trump; it’s a win for every American fed up with media manipulation. Trump has proven that fighting back works, and it’s only a matter of time before others are held accountable, too. Maybe the liberal media will think twice before pushing their blatant lies. If not, who knows how much more they’re willing to bet against the American people?
