The incoming border czar for President-elect Donald Trump is ready to implement some real change, a breath of fresh air after years of neglect under the previous administration. It’s beyond clear that the southern border needs a serious overhaul, and finally, there’s someone in a position to make that happen.
Tom Homan, who bravely headed ICE during Trump’s first term, is preparing to roll out what could be the most extensive deportation operation in American history. Once thought extreme, the idea of mass deportations has gained traction and support across the political spectrum, particularly among Hispanic voters. Despite the inevitable whining from the Left, who seem to have lost the election and the narrative, their protests hold little weight in the face of overwhelming public support for securing the border. It’s time for the grown-ups to take charge and clean up the mess that’s been left behind.

Homan intends to establish a hotline for American citizens to report illegal immigrants who engage in criminal activities. This initiative is not only smart but necessary. Americans should have a direct line to help tackle issues like child trafficking and forced labor. This empowers citizens to actively participate in safeguarding their communities. The Left may scream about this effort, but it is a common-sense approach to a serious problem affecting national security.
As Homan revealed, shutting down smuggling routes, particularly the notorious Darien Gap where over half a million migrants made dangerous treks last year, is part of the plan to restore order. The incoming administration plans to collaborate with foreign governments to clamp down on illegal crossings in this area, which has become a route of choice for countless caravans. It’s a straightforward strategy aimed at protecting the homeland and restoring some measure of sanity to border policy.
Liberal media outlets will no doubt clutch their pearls over families being separated during deportations, a narrative they love to promote. However, Homan’s solution is clear: if families are involved in illegal activity, they can be removed together. The focus should be on ensuring that the rule of law is upheld rather than catering to sentiments that only serve to undermine safety and security. The message is plain: true reform means following through on the commitment to protect American citizens and maintaining a fair, orderly immigration process.
