President Trump, unyielding as ever, has been crystal clear about his vision. He wants real results that put America first. During talks held with South Korea, he demonstrated just that, showing them we mean business. South Korea now has its eyes on upping cooperation in shipbuilding and energy with the U.S. They’re willing to chat about lifting the hefty 25 percent tariffs that Trump’s administration placed to protect American workers. Unlike his liberal predecessors, Trump knows how to use tariffs to America’s advantage—not bend over backward to other nation’s demands.

What truly distinguishes this deal from those of the Obama era is the defense cost-sharing discussions. America has nearly 28,000 troops stationed in South Korea. For too long, our allies have been getting a free ride on the back of American taxpayers. It’s about time we get compensated fairly for our military presence abroad. But of course, South Korea’s new leadership, amid a rocky political crisis, seems hesitant to embrace Trump’s fairer share approach. Typical!
And let’s not gloss over the fact that South Korea is in the political fight of its life with a snap election on the horizon due to the previous president’s dramatic fall from grace. These political upheavals are what happen when leadership wavers and principles are thrown to the wind. Meanwhile, in America, Trump provides the stability and assertive action that liberals can only pretend to offer.
Here’s the kicker: this monumental deal isn’t just some far-off possibility. It could be here faster than the Democrats can say “Antifa.” With technical details being ironed out as soon as next week, President Trump is, yet again, on the verge of another huge win for America. How many wins will it take for the left to finally wake up and smell the prosperity? They better start paying attention.
