In a fiery interview with Fox News, former President Donald Trump didn’t hold back on his attacks against fellow candidate Nikki Haley. Despite her defense of Trump’s previous praise for her, the former president argued that he simply enjoys giving people nicknames, likening it to his nickname for Asa Hutchinson as “Ada Hutchinson.” Trump revealed that his nickname for Haley, “Nimbra,” is just a playful take on her birth name. It seems Trump can’t resist his knack for catchy monikers, as he reminded everyone of his nickname for Elizabeth Warren: “Pocahontas.”

Unsurprisingly, Trump was also quick to label Haley a “globalist fool,” despite his previous complimentary words towards her. He argued that, in the current international political climate, the US cannot afford to have a globalist in office, emphasizing the need for a “America First” approach. Trump boasted about his own achievements, particularly his swift defeat of ISIS and his military rebuilding efforts, claiming to have brought about peace through strength.
While Trump’s attacks on Haley may seem relentless, he took to his new social media platform, Truth Social, to continue his verbal assault. Referring to her as “Nimbra” once again, Trump called the former South Carolina governor “weak.” Of course, the attacks on Haley’s birth name didn’t sit well with her, as she accused Trump of being “insecure” and feeling “threatened” as the New Hampshire primary approaches.
It’s clear that Trump’s confident lead in the polls has emboldened him to unleash his trademark jabs and insults. But does his relentless attack on Haley help or hurt his chances in the primary? Only time will tell. For now, Trump’s unapologetic demeanor and refusal to back down continue to captivate his supporters. Love him or hate him, Trump certainly knows how to make headlines and keep the political world on its toes.
