Tucker Carlson is a name that rings bells in every conservative’s ears. A former Fox News host, he had a massive following among the network’s key demographics, until he was recently cut. Naturally, his departure led to a fall in Fox’s ratings and a dip in their stock price by $962 million. But for all those who think that Tucker Carlson’s career is over, they couldn’t be more wrong. There is no way he is going to fade into the night. In fact, he could join a rival network, although, given his massive fan base, it is doubtful whether any network could afford him. Or he could go independent and create his own subscription news service and rake in the moolah. However, before embarking on these ventures, Mr. Carlson needs to wriggle out of his former employer’s non-compete clause.
According to sources close to Tucker Carlson, he is preparing for an all out assault against Fox News, demanding the network let him work for or start a right-wing rival. But why is this important, you ask? Because there lies a possibility that Tucker v/s Fox could change the conservative news world. And who wouldn’t bet on Tucker Carlson, who, after being let go by the network, has seen more than one offer pouring in from other news outlets such as Rumble and Newsmax, some even offering him more than he was making at Fox.
Meanwhile, the ousted host is said to have conversations with Elon Musk about working together, even as he holds talks with his own team and confidants about a possible direct-to-consumer media platform. In the process, Carlson is building a following that will stay with him, no matter where he takes his brand.
But perhaps what is most significant is that Carlson knows where many bodies are buried, something that has Fox worried. According to sources, Carlson’s allies with big platforms are prepared to attack Fox for keeping him sidelined. Bare-knuckle brawlers from Trumpworld are also standing by to fight by his side. With such a massive following and support, Carlson’s team is now preparing for war, as he wants his freedom.

Meanwhile, Fox News is mired in other controversies as well. Besides Carlson’s exit, the network has been sued by Dominion Voting Systems for allegedly rigging the 2020 US Presidential elections, the amount of which was initially set at $1.6 billion, but eventually settled for $787 million. As a result, Fox’s ratings have taken a beating, and the exodus has already begun, with MSNBC beating Fox in every time slot by at least 35 percent. Even Anderson Cooper on CNN and Chris Hayes on MSNBC have gained more viewers in key demographics than Fox in the 8 pm hour.
All we can say is that this is not directed at Carlson, but rather at Fox News, as we cannot afford any more ulcers in the Republican camp, especially with the 2024 GOP presidential primaries looming large.
