In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, former President Donald Trump expressed his belief that Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell should step down due to his apparent health problems. Trump commented on the video of McConnell experiencing some type of health episode during a press conference, stating that it was a “sad” thing to see. Trump also criticized McConnell’s actions in supporting Democrat President Joe Biden’s agenda, specifically the allocation of funds for the Green New Deal.
Trump emphasized the need for a new leader in the Senate, stating, “We have to have that. We have some people in the Senate that are fantastic and would be great at that position.” Although he did not mention a specific person, Trump mentioned that he has many great relationships in both the Senate and the House.

Furthermore, Trump highlighted his impressive endorsement record in the 2022 midterm elections, claiming to have been at “almost 99 percent” in endorsements for Republican primaries. He acknowledged that not all of his endorsed candidates were successful but pointed out that he had a high success rate. Trump expressed his satisfaction with his performance in the midterms, stating that he had 233 wins out of 253 races.
