On Monday, CBS News anchor Norah O'Donnell criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom after he referred to the Second Amendment as a suicide pact.
A gunman, who was reportedly 72 years old, opened fire at a Chinese New Year dance party in California's Monterey Park on Saturday, killing 11 people and wounding several others. The incident occurred at around 10 p.m. The suspect, identified as Huu Can Tran, fled the scene after a bystander attempted to intervene.
Newsom, in an interview with CBS News, said that nothing was surprising about the incident. He noted that everything about it is incredibly frustrating.
