Former President Donald Trump has found a loyal supporter in Vivek Ramaswamy, a GOP candidate who is gaining popularity in the polls. Ramaswamy recently appeared on ABC for an interview with George Stephanopoulos, where he defended Trump against accusations of potential felony convictions and a second term in office. In the interview, Ramaswamy criticized the mainstream media for their bias against Trump and claimed that they were looking for any excuse to deny him a fair victory over President Joe Biden.

When Stephanopoulos questioned Ramaswamy about supporting a convicted felon, Ramaswamy laughed it off and criticized the former Clinton White House aide. He stated that he would vote for the person he believes is best suited to move the country forward, and that he does not believe Biden is that person. Ramaswamy emphasized that the America First movement is bigger than Trump or any one candidate, and that the decision of who becomes the next president should be left to the people.
Ramaswamy also defended his position to pardon Trump if he is convicted of crimes prosecuted by Democrats. He argued that doing so would help reunite the country and criticized the media for focusing too much on the past and going after one man. Despite trailing Trump by a significant margin in most polls, Ramaswamy has gained traction in some polls and even surpassed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in others. He has also garnered attention for his soundbites, interactions with protestors, and campaign events centered around his “10 Commandments” and efforts to support Trump.
