In a classic case of “they can dish it out, but they can’t take it,” the White House has blasted a video released by the Hamas terror group as nothing more than “propaganda.” The video shows a female hostage being treated for injuries and speaking in favor of her captors—a move that the White House claims is a pathetic attempt to whitewash the crimes of these Hamas terrorists.
The video features 21-year-old Mia Schem, who was one of the hostages taken during a brutal attack on Israeli communities. Schem was able to send a desperate text message to a friend during the attack, pleading for help. Now, in a video released by Hamas, she claims that her captors have “taken care” of her and asks to be returned to her family.
However, White House spokesperson John Kirby isn’t buying it. He condemned the video as “despicable” and denounced Hamas for trying to paint themselves in a positive light while coldly murdering innocent civilians. Kirby believes that Schem’s remarks were made under duress and that the video is nothing more than a desperate attempt by Hamas to salvage their tarnished reputation.
The Israeli military has also condemned the video, calling out Hamas for their heinous slaughter of civilians. The terrorists targeted an Israeli community and left around 80 percent of the victims bearing signs of torture. It’s clear that Hamas is trying to distract from their own monstrous actions by promoting this propaganda video.

Schem’s desperate plea to be rescued and reunited with her family is heartbreaking, but the White House and the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are determined to bring her and the other hostages home safely. The IDF issued a statement, affirming their commitment to the return of all hostages and condemning Hamas as a “horrific terrorist organization.”
As the international community rallies behind the victims and their families, French President Emmanuel Macron has confirmed that 21 French citizens were among those killed in the Hamas attacks. Macron expressed his support and vowed to do everything possible to secure the release of the French hostages.
President Joe Biden is also focused on the situation, with plans to address it during his upcoming trip to Israel. The American hostages are not forgotten, and efforts are being made to ensure their safe return. It’s clear that the White House and its allies will not let Hamas get away with their propaganda tactics or their heinous crimes against innocent men, women, and children.
