Anti-ICE Rioters Clash in Newark, Politicians’ Hypocrisy Exposed

Watching the chaos outside Delaney Hall in Newark, any patriotic American should be furious that anti-ICE mobs have been allowed to turn law enforcement into the enemy while politicians look the other way. What began as a protest quickly escalated into full-on clashes with federal agents, forcing officers to defend the rule of law against a violent, organized crowd.

Video and eyewitness reports from the scene show agitators hurling objects, attempting to block ICE vehicles, and even physically assaulting officers in their line of duty — behavior that is criminal, not civic. Federal law enforcement responded and arrests followed after threats and assaults, including reports of an individual taken into custody for threatening an officer’s family, underscoring how far these demonstrations have slipped into lawlessness.

Even more infuriating is the political double standard on display from New Jersey’s leadership, who have lauded “peaceful protest” while mobs trash federal property and attack officers trying to do their jobs. Instead of unequivocally defending public safety, some local leaders have equivocated, creating a permissive environment that rewards disorder and endangers ordinary citizens.

Meanwhile, across our broken capital, Jill Biden’s recent reflections defending the pardon of her son read like a family-first rationalization for political favoritism. In her memoir she admits the family feared what would happen under the incoming administration and backs the decision to spare Hunter from legal consequences, a revelation that will ring hollow to millions who expect equal justice under the law.

Let us be blunt: the pardon itself was issued in the final rush of the previous presidency, and it remains a stark example of how power can be used to protect the connected while everyone else faces the consequences of their actions. That blatant hypocrisy — vows of impartiality followed by last-minute clemency for the president’s own child — corrodes trust in institutions and fuels the very outrage we now see on our streets.

Conservatives must demand two things simultaneously: accountability for the violent mobs that attack federal officers and an end to the culture of special treatment for political families. Kayleigh McEnany was right to call out these lies and lazy narratives; hardworking Americans deserve leaders who prioritize public safety, equal justice, and the dignity of lawful order over partisan theatrics and family protectionism.
