Looks like Biden’s administration can’t get enough of spending taxpayer dollars faster than a rookie shopper at a Black Friday sale. Even though they claim the human risk of bird flu is low, they’ve gone ahead and handed $176 million to Moderna to whip up a new vaccine for it. That’s right, they’re betting big on another mRNA vaccine frenzy, this time for bird flu, officially known as H5N1.
According to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), this mighty contract is supposedly all about preparedness. Using that ever-promising mRNA technology that brought us the COVID-19 vaccine, the Biden administration believes this investment will speed up production timelines and keep vaccine prices in check, should the bird flu decide to make a grand entrance. HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra is thrilled by this ‘progress’, claiming they’re learning from the COVID-19 pandemic and getting ready for future public health crises. One can’t help but wonder if it’s the same ‘lessons learned’ that led to outdated health mandates and economic chaos.
Geezus..seriously!!

But let’s not get too excited, folks. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) chimed in, announcing the fourth recorded case of bird flu in the U.S. since March. Every case involved dairy farm workers who’ve been around infected cows. With the cases spread over a couple of states, including Texas and Michigan, the CDC maintains that the human health risk assessment remains low. Of course, they still flash a warning about those who spend too much quality time around infected birds or other animals being more at risk. Who knew being a dairy farmer would become a new-age hazard?
Meanwhile, CDC’s Nirav Shah is having “robust discussions” about the possibility of preemptively vaccinating farm workers. Yet, no conclusions have been drawn. Translation: they’re still figuring out how to angle for more control. And if you thought this was the only feather in their cap, the federal government has already snapped up 4.8 million doses of another bird flu vaccine from CSL Seqirus, which could hit the market next month.
While Biden’s henchmen scurry to push through vaccine deals, Americans are left scratching their heads. With the general public’s bird flu risk deemed low, the spectacle feels like another act in the grand theatre of government overreach. Yet, they plot how to tighten their grip under the guise of ‘public health.’
One has to ask: Is America really clamoring for another vaccine mandate saga, or is this just a classic case of the government trying to fix what’s not broken? As Moderna runs their mRNA vaccine tests and the HHS flirts with Pfizer on similar grounds, taxpayers might end up footing the bill for what could be another chapter in the ongoing saga of bureaucratic blunders. Hold onto your hats, folks. The bird flu drama is just getting started.
