The Biden administration is in hot water once again due to their lackadaisical approach to the border crisis. From the get-go, it’s clear that they’ve never really cared about the humanitarian and national security catastrophe unfolding at the southern border. They show more concern for the political fallout and public opinion than actually solving the problem they’ve created. The only time they scramble into action is when the media shines a light on their historic failure. Otherwise, it’s back to business as usual – not giving a hoot about, and even contributing to, the border mess.
What’s their latest excuse for inaction, you ask? Blaming Republicans, of course. They point fingers at the GOP for not supporting their flawed border bill and conveniently forget to mention the strong border bill HR 2 that failed due to Democrat obstruction and threats of Biden’s veto. It’s clear they’re more interested in shifting the blame than fixing the crisis they’ve exacerbated.

The White House is now downplaying the urgency of the situation, claiming that the migration numbers have slightly decreased. They seem unfazed by the fact that under Biden’s watch, approximately 10 million illegal crossings have occurred, with nearly two million known got-aways. Despite December and February registering historically high numbers of crossings, the administration insists that there’s no fire to put out.
And speaking of fires, the border crisis isn’t just about numbers – it’s about the devastating impact on American lives. The administration turns a blind eye to the violent crimes committed by illegal immigrants, including murders and assaults. Instead of addressing these atrocities, they prefer to sweep them under the rug and remain silent.
Meanwhile, the former president, Donald Trump, is shining a spotlight on Biden’s border blunders. Trump is not afraid to address the violent criminal acts committed by illegal immigrants, highlighting the real impact of the administration’s failed policies.
But wait, it gets even more ludicrous. Migrants accused of participating in a “border riot” were ordered to be released on their own recognizance by a judge. This leniency for lawbreakers sends a clear message that crime pays for illegal immigrants, further emboldening bad actors.
To top it all off, the president of Mexico is making audacious demands on American national television, including a $20 billion commitment from the U.S. to poor countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, the lift of sanctions on Venezuela, and the end of the Cuban embargo. It’s a wild display of audacity, taking advantage of the Biden administration’s lack of backbone.
In the midst of all this chaos, ICE is trying to do its job, despite facing obstacles from so-called “sanctuary” jurisdictions that do not notify them when illegal immigrant sex offenders are released into communities. The lack of cooperation with ICE from these jurisdictions is a baffling contradiction to the principle of community notification about the presence of registered sex offenders.
The border crisis is a glaring example of the Biden administration’s incompetence and lack of concern for the safety and well-being of American citizens. It’s clear that the urgent need for action at the southern border is falling on deaf ears, as the administration continues to downplay the severity of the situation. And with the upcoming springtime surge, the consequences of their inaction are poised to worsen. If only the administration could display even a fraction of the urgency it shows in avoiding accountability, perhaps the border might have a chance at recovery.
