Biden’s Frequent Neurologist Visits Raise Questions on Fitness to Lead

Well, isn’t that convenient? President Biden’s personal physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, has decided to clear the fog surrounding the frequent visits of Dr. Kevin Cannard, a Parkinson’s specialist, to the White House. According to O’Connor, Cannard has not been called in to diagnose Biden but is part of some “general neurology practice.” Right. Because everyone knows the White House has a revolving door for neurologists just popping in for casual visits.

Apparently, this specialist has been holding regular neurology clinics at the White House Medical Clinic for years, seeing thousands of active-duty members. But then again, every American knows how critical it is to have a neurologist practically living in the Oval Office. It’s just housekeeping at this point, making sure the brain activity in the executive branch is up to speed – and we’re not talking about the speed of a Sunday stroll.

Curiously, O’Connor did admit that Dr. Cannard is the neurologist who has examined Biden during his three presidential annual checkups. How reassuring. O’Connor emphasizes that Biden’s neurological health has been made public each time. But considering Biden’s frequent on-stage stumbles, forgetfulness, and open-mouthed stares, one has to wonder if this so-called transparency isn’t more of a comedy routine.

To make things even more perplexing, during a press briefing, White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre clammed up tighter than a drum when questioned about Cannard’s visits. She couldn’t even confirm his presence on campus, citing security and privacy concerns. Of course, privacy and security always seem to conveniently pop up when tough questions about Biden’s capability to lead are on the table.

Cannard’s regular White House visits first drew attention after President Biden’s less-than-stellar debate performance against former President Donald Trump. It was a spectacle where Biden seemed to forget more than just his talking points, standing with his jaw dropped like someone just told him the price of gas under his administration. Even Democrats are privately debating if Biden should be the one holding their banner in the next election, which is saying a lot.

As Washington plays another round of “hide the ball,” Americans are left to wonder if the people in charge can actually remember where it’s hidden.
