Well, well, well, folks. California has done something crazy again, so hold on to your hats. They have crossed the Rubicon, blown up the bridge, and burned the boats. Yes, California is about to pass laws that will take away the rights of parents and turn the state into a police state where a court and judge must confirm a child's made-up gender identity. I mean, California, can't you figure out what you need to do first?

But, my friends, here's the kicker. Even though California is upset about a child's gender being confirmed, a minor still needs permission to get a tattoo. Talk about having things backwards. It seems like people in this state have lost all sense. And if the Democrat supermajority has its way, confused children could be taken away from their parents and put through chemical castration and mutilation. I kid you not, folks. We now live in this kind of world.

The person who wrote AB 665, Assemblymember Wendy Carrillo, even had the nerve to say during a public discussion that they would never take children from their parents. Well, Wendy, I'm sorry to tell you this, but your bill is actually doing that. But of course, liberal news outlets like the AP and USA Today support this craziness by saying that the reasons against it are exaggerated. Seriously, people, how much more proof do we need that California is going crazy?
So, what does AB 665 really do? Well, it changes the Family Law Code so that it's acceptable to take children who aren't their own. Yes, you did hear correctly. California has now made it legal to take people hostage. Under this law, a 12-year-old child who is unsure about their gender can agree to mental health therapy and even be put in a group home run by the state. And let's not forget that they can also be artificially castrated and physically changed. Isn't that wonderful?
But don't worry, people, the state will help you. Who needs a stable family when you can get advice from a bunch of strangers in a state-run home? It's crazy how out of touch these lawmakers are with the real world. Sen. Scott Wiener and Wendy Carrillo are both very excited about this bill, but they say it doesn't really change the law. Sure, sure.
AB 957 is also on the agenda for California, as if that wasn't enough. This little gem is all about figuring out the gender of your child or saying goodbye to them. It adds text to the Family Code that says a parent's approval of a child's gender change is the same as making sure the child is safe, healthy, and happy. This means that family court judges will have to favor a parent who affirms, even if the parent who doesn't affirm is perfectly able to care for the kid. My friends, this is a sure way to get into trouble.
We are sure that this rule will lead to parents being charged with abuse, or "emotional abuse," just because they don't use their child's chosen name or pronouns. It goes against the right to religious freedom and is a direct attack on anyone who thinks God made man and woman perfectly. California is not just going crazy; they are jumping straight into a pool of insanity.
I don't know how you feel, but I'm very worried about where this country is going. California, which is run by Democrats who are out of control, is a great example of what happens when liberal policies aren't stopped. And to top it all off, Governor HairGel wants to be president. His name is Gavin Newsom. Help us all, Lord.
Buckle up, America. We're going to have a rough ride. Let's hope we can get back to being normal before it's too late.
Editorial: This is another example of how far the left plan in California has gone. Not only do these laws violate the rights of parents, but they also take away the freedom of religion for people who believe in traditional values. It's time for Republicans to stand up and stop the government from getting too involved in the lives of our kids. We can't let the craziness of California spread to the rest of the country.
