In the liberal utopia of Oakland, California, where crime is surging, the police have come up with a brilliant solution for residents to protect themselves: airhorns. Yes, you read that correctly. The police are actually telling people to use airhorns as a way to sound the alarm when criminals strike. It’s like something out of a cartoon.
But it doesn’t stop there. The police are also advising residents to install “security bars to…doors and windows” because apparently having airhorns just isn’t enough. It’s sad that the people of Oakland have to resort to these measures just to feel safe in their own homes.
And the crime statistics are truly shocking. Burglaries in the city are up a mind-boggling 41 percent, and robberies have increased by over 20 percent. This is what happens when Democrats are in charge. They prioritize the rights of criminals over the safety of law-abiding citizens.

One resident, Toni Bird, has taken the police’s advice to heart and now has not one, not two, but three airhorns. Can you imagine the noise pollution in that neighborhood? But it’s a small price to pay for protection, right?
In a recent incident, a 75-year-old woman who was home alone faced armed intruders. But she wasn’t defenseless. She had a .357 Magnum revolver, and she wasn’t afraid to use it. She fired one shot at the intruders, who then fled the scene. Thankfully, she wasn’t injured, and her daughter described her as a real-life Superwoman.
Stories like these show the importance of the Second Amendment and the right to bear arms. The police can tell residents to use airhorns all they want, but it’s clear that having a firearm can make all the difference in protecting yourself and your home.
It’s time for the residents of Oakland to demand more from their leaders. They deserve better than airhorns and security bars. They deserve strong law enforcement and policies that actually prioritize their safety. Unfortunately, as long as Democrats are in charge, they’ll continue to get the short end of the stick.
