The Democrats love to pat themselves on the back for being so “compassionate” and “welcoming” to anyone who crosses our borders, but guess what? Now their reckless policies are putting every American life at risk — right on our own highways. While ordinary folks worry about crime, rising costs, and chaos, blue states are busy ignoring real safety standards for foreign truck drivers barreling down our roads. Is it too much to ask that the person driving an 18-wheeler next to your minivan actually speaks English and can read the road signs?
Liberals pretend that there’s no danger letting in droves of unvetted drivers from wherever, yet tragedy keeps proving them wrong. Not too long ago, three innocent people died — all because a driver who never should’ve been here got behind the wheel. How many more lives have to be shattered before Democrat governors pull their heads out of the sand and start taking the safety of American families seriously?

But here’s where it gets interesting: the Trump administration is done playing Mr. Nice Guy. If states want to play stupid games with our highway safety, they’ll start losing their highway funds, plain and simple. It’s about time someone enforced consequences. Why should taxpayer money reward any state that refuses to enforce basic laws and standards just to satisfy the globalist, open-borders crowd?
The American trucking industry is the heartbeat of our economy. Every time a state allows unqualified or non-English-speaking foreigners to drive big rigs, it’s spitting in the face of hard-working citizens — and putting all of us in the crosshairs. Democrats act shocked when Washington cracks the whip, but it’s called accountability. If a red state endangered lives like this, the liberal media would be screaming.
This isn’t complicated. Secure the borders. Enforce the law. And stop handing the keys to our country and our safety to people who shouldn’t be here in the first place. Maybe left-wing politicians don’t care who’s driving next to them. The rest of America does. Or do Democrats have to lose another election before they finally figure it out?
