A CBS/YouGov survey conducted on Sunday revealed that only 35% of Democrats approve of Hakeem Jeffries, the new minority leader in the House of Representatives.
Only 18 percent of Americans have a favorable view of Congressman Mike Jeffries, while 41 percent have no idea what he's about.
The results of the survey revealed that among the Democrats' intersection coalition, Jeffries' favorability rating was low. Only 22 percent of African-Americans, 20 percent of Hispanics, and 19 percent of those under 30 viewed him favorably. His rating among women also dropped to 14 percent.
The survey also revealed that among Democrats, Pelosi enjoys a favorable rating of 61 percent. Among African-Americans, she has a 44 percent approval rating, while 25 percent of Hispanics have a favorable view of her. Overall, her favorability rating is 27 percent.
Both Pelosi and Jeffries have repeatedly denied the legitimacy of the US elections. In 2017, Pelosi called the presidential election of 2016 a “hijacked” process.
Last week, Jeffries became the new minority leader after 15 rounds of voting by the Democrats. The caucus elected him as their leader unopposed.
The results of the poll revealed that despite the criticisms from the left, most Democrats still support an election that is not legitimate. The survey was conducted by 2,144 Americans between January 4 and 6.
