Congressman Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey's Second Congressional District wrote a harsh letter to President Joe Biden and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas attacking the Biden administration's border policies. Van Drew used to be a Democrat, but in 2019 he moved to the Republican Party. He spoke out against the plan to move illegal immigrants to the Atlantic City International Airport. He said that South Jersey people already have to deal with "record-setting inflation" because of the government's "reckless spending."
JUST IN: Former Democrat Rep. Jeff Van Drew SLAMS the Biden administration, calling the admin the “WORST IN HISTORY”.
Do you agree with him? 🙋🏻♂️https://t.co/qA4CYXNv8Q

During an appearance on Fox News, Van Drew was very critical, even going so far as to say that the Biden government was the "worst in American history." In his letter, he said that his voters shouldn't have to pay for housing thousands of illegal immigrants, which he said was caused by the administration's lax border policies. He also worried about national security, pointing out that the 177th Fighter Wing of the New Jersey Air National Guard is based at the Atlantic City International Airport.
I will NOT allow South Jersey to pay the price for this administration's failures.

Van Drew said it was ironic that even "sanctuary cities" like New York City, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco are having trouble keeping up with the number of migrants. He said that Atlantic City already has a lot on its plate and can't take on the extra financial and safety problems that would come with housing a big number of migrants. Van Drew told the government to take responsibility for the problem it had caused and not put the blame on people who had nothing to do with it.
Van Drew's letter shows that more and more people are worried about what they see as a leadership problem in the Biden administration. His strong opposition to the plan to move migrants adds to the growing criticism of the government, which he says is the "worst in history."
