This investigation encompasses any links and acquaintances of the Biden family who may have garnered millions of dollars through their influence. The inquiry relies on evidence and statements provided during a federal criminal prosecution of CEFC, an energy company based in China, and its former leader, Patrick Ho.

A letter has been dispatched by the Committee to Vuk Jeremic, a diplomat and politician from Serbia, demanding a verbatim interview and the provision of records pertaining to CEFC, Robert Hunter Biden, James Biden, and their acquaintances. Jeremic had testified concerning his commercial associations with particular CEFC executives, such as Chairman Ye Jianming and Patrick Ho.

The Committee is investigating whether President Biden was aware of or played a role in particular foreign commercial ventures that involved the same CEFC executives implicated in the activities outlined in United States v. Patrick Ho. Documentation indicates that Jeremic established a commercial affiliation with Hunter Biden and his companions, and exchanged information with them concerning Chairman Ye and CEFC.
According to Senator Chuck Grassley, the FBI possesses evidence that implicates President Joe Biden in Hunter Biden’s dubious overseas business dealings. This assertion garnered considerable media attention as Biden had previously affirmed that he had never discussed his son’s business activities with him, and had vowed to maintain a complete separation between personal and governmental interests.
The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is working to investigate President Biden’s connections to certain international and domestic business transactions and practices. They are looking into whether or not he was involved in any foreign business ventures that included CEFC officials who participated in the schemes described in United States v. Patrick Ho. They are also looking into whether or not he had any knowledge of Hunter Biden’s shady business activities abroad. The investigation is ongoing and it remains to be seen what will come of it.
