The liberal media must have been buzzing like a fly at a picnic when they learned that Vice President Kamala Harris had plans to take a swipe at former President Donald Trump during the highly publicized Alabama-Georgia football game. Outlets like CNN were practically giddy at the thought of Harris tossing some shade from the skies above Bryant-Denny Stadium with a plane bearing the slogan “Trump’s Punting on 2nd Debate.” Apparently, they believed it would be the political equivalent of tossing a beer over the heads of the opposing team.
The excitement didn’t stop with airplane banners, though. Harris’ campaign crafted a national ad to broadcast during the game, blatantly challenging Trump to show up for a second debate in the least subtle way possible. The ad, narrated with all the drama of a reality TV show, proclaimed that true winners don’t shy away from challenge—implying, of course, that Trump was nothing more than a whiner ready to throw in the towel. Of course, it is crucial to remember that the only person who truly “punted” on a debate opportunity was none other than Harris herself when she ducked out of a Fox News-hosted debate. Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones—or should they?

However, much to the delight of Trump supporters everywhere, Harris’ grandiose trolling plan crashed and burned faster than her popularity ratings. The big flying banner that was meant to make waves over the stadium never took off at all. According to reports, a little thing called weather had the final say, resulting in the cancellation of this entire operation. Cue the tumbleweed rolling across the political landscape as Harris’ initial plans went down in flames—just like her ambitious attempts to land a punch on Trump.
Meanwhile, Trump went into Tuscaloosa and received a rockstar welcome that would make any concert headliner jealous. The cheers of the 100,000+ fans stood in stark contrast to Harris’s entrapment in a weather forecast that clearly didn’t align with her game plan. One might imagine the Vice President sulking in the corner, sipping her morning coffee while watching the crowd go wild for her rival on the big screen—far from the highlight she had envisioned.
Though the liberal media may want to spin the narrative to make Harris appear as a bold challenger, the reality is the Vice President’s efforts fell flat. If anyone truly sat out the second debate, it was her. While Trump continues to gather support and rally fans, Harris remains twirling her banner that never flew, hoping for a moment where she could somehow reclaim her loss without a shred of evidence. It seems it’s the liberal establishment that needs to take a good long look at their version of reality instead of hoping for a miraculous comeback from the Vice President.
