Kudlow: DeSantis Needs Economic Plan to Win Presidency

Fox Business host Larry Kudlow revealed that Republican Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida needs to work on his economic agenda after he criticized the debt ceiling deal that Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy reached with President Joe Biden, causing his presidential campaign to suffer. The former economic adviser to Donald Trump said that Mr. DeSantis does not have an economic agenda, unlike President Trump, who has a clear one.
Kudlow added that winning the presidential race requires having an economic agenda that people can support, and that is what Donald Trump did to win. Kudlow has also criticized Governor DeSantis for being too “woke” and being involved in a feud with Disney.

DeSantis signed legislation earlier this year that eliminated Disney’s self-governance and special provisions provided through the Reedy Creek Improvement District, which Disney tried to undermine with last-second agreements. Kudlow believes that most voters are concerned about their economic well-being, and they would choose a candidate who has a concrete plan for their economic advancement.
Kudlow has a point. Governor DeSantis needs to come up with an economic agenda for his presidential campaign to be successful. The criticism of the debt ceiling deal hurts his candidacy, and the feud with Disney is a bad look. To gain the trust of the American people, Governor DeSantis needs to stop being too woke and start focusing on the economic issues that matter to everyday people.
