Kevin McCarthy, the leader of the minority party, claims that President Joe Biden called him to extend his congratulations on the victory of the Republican Party in the House of Representatives.
McCarthy (R-Calif.), stated that Biden congratulated him over the phone during a recent contact, according to an interview that took place on Thursday.
McCarthy went on to say that if anybody believes the Republican Party did not win the majority in the House, Biden is one of the few people who believes they did. Despite this, the party that will govern the House has not yet been decided.
Just before departing for Egypt, Biden provided further context for his previous remarks.

McCarthy said that Biden had questioned him about the ways in which they might collaborate.
