Democratic State Representative Gloria Johnson from Tennessee has alleged that Republicans are "undermining democracy" in red states by attempting to remove her and two other Democratic lawmakers for their involvement in a group that occupied the Tennessee state Capitol building. Johnson asserted "that the red and supermajority states are being targeted by the Republicans as they have the power to do so." She stressed "the need to keep a close watch on everything happening in those states." While Democrats often hold Republicans responsible for various issues nowadays, Johnson's allegations point to a specific instance of Republicans targeting democracy.

Protesters demanding the enactment of gun control legislation stormed the Tennessee state capitol on March 30, just three days after Audrey Hale, a 28-year-old shooter who identified as transgender that killed three children and three adults at Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, before being fatally shot by law enforcement. It is evident from these incidents that the effectiveness of gun control laws is questionable.
A shooting at the Old National Bank in Louisville, Kentucky, resulted in the death of four individuals and injuries to nine others, as the gunman was shot and killed by responding law enforcement officers. While the left often advocates for tighter gun laws, in reality, such measures could lead to the infringement of the Second Amendment right of law-abiding citizens to possess firearms.
“We can’t let the political theater of the Left distract us from what the real issue is here – the Left’s attempt to push their agenda and suppress our rights,” said Senator Ted Cruz, sounding off against the Left’s recent actions. Democratic State Representatives Justin Jones and Justin Pearson were expelled from the Tennessee House of Representatives, while Gloria Johnson narrowly avoided expulsion by a single vote. The decision indicates that Tennessee is not swayed by the tactics employed by the left.
Let’s be real here, if it weren’t for Republicans, it would be over for democracy in the United States. They are the only ones standing strong against the radical left’s agenda. Thankfully, Tennessee’s Republican lawmakers were able to contain the situation, and their state remains a beacon of hope for all Americans who believe in the Constitution and the American way of life.
