In an interview with Fox News, former President Donald Trump said that he would consider running for president in 2024 if Florida Governor Ron DeSantis were to run.
During an interview on “The Water Cooler,” Trump was asked if it would be a bad idea for DeSantis to run for president. He responded by saying that he would handle it in a way that was appropriate.
During the interview, Trump said that he would “handle it in a way that’s appropriate” if DeSantis decides to run for president.
Although DeSantis won his re-election in Florida, he has not yet announced whether or not he will seek the presidency. He has been considered a potential candidate against Trump.
Trump noted that he had already gotten DeSantis elected, stating that it was “pure and simple”.
Despite the attacks that Trump has made against him, DeSantis has handled them fairly well. According to sources, the Florida governor has not responded to Trump’s statements.
A survey conducted by Vanderbilt University revealed that 54 percent of Republicans think that DeSantis is a more favorable candidate than Trump.
A survey conducted by YouGov for Yahoo News also showed that DeSantis leads Trump among voters.
During last year, Trump warned that DeSantis would be very badly affected if he decided to run for president. He noted that the base would not like it.
Despite his disagreements with DeSantis, Trump was still able to support the candidate in the 2022 governor’s race.
