Former President Donald Trump has come up with some colorful new ways to describe the criminal charges he’s facing. In an interview with NBC, Trump referred to them as “banana republic indictments” and “Third World indictments.” Talk about a flair for the dramatic!

But Trump didn’t stop there. He also took the opportunity to boast about his lead in primary polls over his GOP rivals and suggested that President Biden had something to do with his indictments. Of course, there’s absolutely no evidence to support this claim, but when has that ever stopped Trump from spinning a wild tale?
As Trump put it, he’s “facing four Biden indictments.” According to him, Biden either directly told the Justice Department to indict him or Attorney General Merrick Garland made the call. In Trump’s mind, they indicted their political opponent. It’s a narrative that only Trump could conjure up.
To give credit where credit is due, Trump isn’t just facing federal charges. He’s also got some state charges to contend with. In New York, he’s being accused of campaign finance violations related to hush-money payments made before the 2016 election. And in Georgia, he’s being hit with allegations of trying to overturn the state’s 2020 election results.
