The Biden administration’s promise of transparency has been nothing more than a sham. Despite their campaign rhetoric, the White House has refused to cooperate with House Republicans and even Democratic-controlled Senate committees. This lack of transparency is especially evident in the classified documents situation, where the White House counsel has only offered to consider “legitimate oversight interests” and the National Archives has refused to respond to congressional document requests without sign-off from the Justice Department.
Three months into the new Congress, House Republicans have followed through on their pledge to investigate a wide range of Biden administration actions.
Biden's officials, however, have refused to cooperate on virtually every front.https://t.co/YSFce4ThFl

The Treasury Department’s recent decision to provide House Republicans with financial transaction reports after being threatened with a congressional hearing is further proof that the Biden administration is not interested in cooperating with the other side of the aisle. This lack of cooperation will only lead to more legal battles in the future.
It’s clear that President Joe Biden’s promise of transparency was nothing more than a ploy to get votes. His administration has made it abundantly clear that they are not interested in working with Republicans, and their refusal to cooperate is a slap in the face to all Americans who were hoping for a more bipartisan approach to governing.
The Biden administration’s lack of transparency is a disgrace and a betrayal of the American people. It’s time for them to start living up to their promises and start cooperating with Republicans in order to move our country forward.
