In a stunning turn of events, the woke brigade in Massachusetts is yet again trying to push their radical agenda onto innocent schoolchildren. The Massachusetts Board of Education and Secondary Education recently met to discuss a proposal that would overhaul the state’s sex ed program. And by “overhaul,” they mean indoctrinate young minds with “woke” lessons on sexual orientation and gender identity.
If this proposal passes, children as young as elementary school age will be subjected to lessons on “gender-role stereotypes.” That’s right, folks, forget about teaching them important subjects like math and reading. Instead, let’s make sure they’re well-versed in woke jargon that confuses them and muddles their understanding of basic biology.
But it doesn’t stop there. The framework also wants to teach children about the so-called “differences” between biological sex and gender identity. They want to convince impressionable minds that one’s appearance has nothing to do with their gender identity or sexual orientation. Because apparently, facts no longer matter in the world of wokeness.
And get this, the framework even mentions “power and privilege” and how it supposedly affects relationships. Yep, they want to introduce critical race theory into sex ed, because why not? Let’s just keep piling on the indoctrination while we’re at it.
But here’s the kicker – this radical overhaul won’t even require approval from the state legislature. It’s all down to Governor Maura Healey and a board vote. Talk about bypassing democracy and shoving an agenda down our throats.
Thankfully, not everyone is on board with this woke madness. The Massachusetts Family Institute, a non-partisan public policy organization dedicated to strengthening families, has come out against these changes. They understand that parents should have the final say in what their children are exposed to. Unfortunately, the woke elites seem to think they know better than parents.
The commissioner of elementary and secondary education, Jeffrey C. Riley, claims that school districts will have the final say on implementing these standards. But let’s be real here – once the framework is in place, it’ll be hard for schools to resist the pressure to conform to the woke agenda.

It’s no surprise that Massachusetts, a left-wing stronghold, is spearheading this push for “woke” sex ed. But as conservatives, we must stand strong and fight against this indoctrination. Our children deserve better than to be subjected to radical ideology disguised as education.
As the State Senate has tried multiple times to pass similar legislation in the form of the “Healthy Youth Act,” we must remain vigilant and ensure that this woke overhaul of sex ed never sees the light of day. Our kids deserve a true education, not a platform for woke ideology.
