Dems Push Biden to Endorse Doomed Palestine Fantasy!

Once more, Senator Tom Carper of Delaware and eighteen other Senate Democrats are pleading with President Joe Biden to set the foundation for US recognition of a nonmilitarized Palestinian state. Is it really true?

The senators mentioned historical US influence in the region as well as diplomatic ties to the Middle East in their letter. Carper even dared to assert that President Biden's leadership is necessary for Israelis and Palestinians to live in peace and that the current war between Israel and Hamas had reached a critical turning point. What absurdity!

The senators are requesting that the Biden Administration create an audacious public framework as soon as possible that outlines the steps that must be taken in order for the United States to recognize a nonmilitarized Palestinian state that encompasses Gaza and the West Bank and is led by a purportedly "revitalized and reformed" Palestinian Authority. It is ludicrous!

They even went so far as to say that there could only be enduring peace in the region and safety and security for both Israelis and Palestinians if there were two nations for two peoples: an independent Israel and an independent Palestinian state. And what about the security and safety of the Israelites?

Furthermore, the senators showed audacity by referencing former presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton's diplomatic initiatives and White House conversations, suggesting that Biden need to emulate their actions and pursue additional diplomacy in the area. Why are they unable to just leave things alone?

It is noteworthy that this letter was not signed by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer or Senator Bernie Sanders. Rather, Sanders penned a letter of his own to President Biden, requesting that he cease supplying Israel with guns until more relief was provided. Furthermore, Schumer made a speech in which he called for fresh elections in Israel to unseat Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Whose interests are best for Israel is evident.

It is incomprehensible that these senators would demand a deal that would require Palestinian leaders to "accept the principles of two states — an Israeli and a Palestinian state — and renounce Hamas and all terrorist activity." They assert that despite decades of American support, there hasn't been much progress made in making this policy a reality. Perhaps that's because it's not the best course of action!

To sum up, in order to stop future tragedies and insecurity for both Israelis and Palestinians, the US must support Israel and act decisively. It's time to stop making these ridiculous demands for a nonmilitarized Palestinian state and concentrate on what really counts: Israel's safety and security as our partner.
