Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat representing Massachusetts, made the accusation that pro-life pregnancy resource centers, which among other things supply pregnant women with free infant formula, clothing, and ultrasounds, “torture” those people.
“We need to shut them down here in Massachusetts, and we need to shut them down all around the country. You should not be able to torture a pregnant person like that,” she said.
Warren: “Crisis pregnancy centers that are there to fool people looking for pregnancy termination help outnumber abortion clinics by 3-1. We need to shut them down all around the country.”

These remarks were made by Warren at a time when there has been a disturbing increase in acts of vandalism and arson directed toward pregnancy centers. Over the course of the past two months, there have been at least 92 acts of violence committed against these pro-life initiatives, which include churches and other centers.
Warren came under fire from conservatives who accused her of instigating greater bloodshed.
