The catastrophic situation at the U.S.-Mexico border has been a source of extensive concern for conservative Americans for years, and the reason for the chaos is now clear: Joe Biden and his administration’s encouragement of illegal immigration through radical policy changes. While the consequences of these changes are readily visible, the specifics of how migrants navigate their way to our southern border and the force behind it all are often veiled in mystery.

What I found most captivating about the book were the reports of Bensman’s conversations with a diverse range of players impacted by the border crisis. These accounts provide critical information straight from the source, fundamental observations about the disarray from the migrant’s accounts directly from the Southern Border and throughout Mexico.
Furthermore, the book traces the origin and evolution of the present issue, including a detailed account of the early years, which leads inevitably to the conclusion that the Biden administration’s folly has made a terrible problem even worse. If a Republican takes the presidency again in the future, the effects of the present open border policy may be irreversible, with criminal organizations and their lucrative activities in a stronger position to evade law enforcement.
Despite the current administration’s panicked attempts to veil their failures, Bensman’s book provides undeniable, on-the-ground evidence of the Biden administration’s failing, counter-productive policies. With a book providing a written record, future politicians will have fewer opportunities to plead ignorance of the cause, their responsibility, or their criminal negligence. Without a doubt, the disaster on our southern border did not originate with Joe Biden, but Joe Biden has made it all irrefutably worse.
