Trade policy has been front and center, with Trump enacting sweeping tariffs on imports and taking a tough stance against nations that have long exploited America’s open markets. The new 10% baseline tariff, with even higher rates for countries like China, India, and Japan, has already prompted dozens of nations to seek negotiations with the U.S. While critics and global elites wring their hands over “trade wars,” the reality is that these tariffs are finally leveling the playing field for American industry and sending a message that the days of one-sided deals are finished.
The administration’s America First approach is paying dividends. For decades, unelected officials have undermined the will of the people-now, that era is ending.
The administration’s tough stance on China deserves special praise. By rallying allies and leveraging America’s economic power, Trump is building a coalition to counter Beijing’s ambitions. The tariffs on Chinese goods-now at a staggering 145%-are a direct response to years of intellectual property theft and unfair competition. While the globalist press may fret about “escalation,” American voters know that strength, not appeasement, is the only language our adversaries respect. In these first 100 days, President Trump has proven that bold leadership and unapologetic patriotism are exactly what America needs.
