Lauren Bébert has joined the growing list of Republicans who won't be voting for Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy. She announced on Twitter that she won't be supporting McCarthy for speaker. She also released a video of her comments following a contentious meeting.

According to her, there was a deal that was made, but McCarthy rejected it. I understand that it had to do with the number of Republicans who would like to see McCarthy removed from office. He conceded that five of them would be able to call for a vote of no confidence, but I believe that the majority wanted it to be only one member. During the meeting, the conservative movement was not won over.
