A CBS poll purportedly confirms that a whopping 70% of respondents think Trump is fulfilling his campaign promises. One can imagine the press cringing at the irony of Trump’s successful intervention in Fogel’s case, arriving just as liberals dared to smirk about the president’s foreign policy failures.

Trump has made no secret of his disdain for leftist outlets like CNN or MSNBC, showing that their disdain for him has been just as uniform. It’s almost as if they’re in a game of “how can we twist reality to portray Trump in a bad light” competition. Perhaps if they put as much effort into reporting facts as they do into spinning them, Americans might hear more about the impressive strides being made by this administration.
As Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt steps into the ring with a clear enthusiasm and preparedness that contrasts starkly with her predecessor’s fumbling attempts at communication, the need for weekly reminders of Trump’s success is undeniable. Under her watch, it feels like any journalism critic might need to wed their pessimism to a solid dose of reality, resulting in an around-the-clock job just to keep pace with the ever-accelerating agenda of the Trump administration. Increasingly, observers can only wonder how the liberal press continues to turn a blind eye as Trump’s accomplishments pile up, all the while striking a pose like a deer caught in headlights.
