Who’s really leading the Democratic Party these days? No one seems to know the answer, and the options are truly pitiful. The public watched Kamala Harris attempt to make a comeback with a speech that did nothing but induce eye-rolls. And there’s Cory Booker rallying against things invisible to the rest of us. Jasmine Crockett, on the other hand, is breaking into the spotlight, or at least trying her best. Her recent commencement address is supposed to be the sign of intelligence, but what we heard hardly passes for wisdom.
Donald Trump, a man unafraid to speak his mind, aptly jabbed at Crockett, calling her out for low intelligence. Predictably, the left throws its usual tantrum, quick to hurl accusations of racism. But, let’s be clear, it was Crockett’s words and deeds that backed up Trump’s statement. Her speech was filled with overused cliches rather than the inspiration those graduates deserved. She could have uplifted the minds of young Americans, but instead, she clung to the tired narrative of victimhood.
Trump: I look at the Democrats, they have a new person named Crockett. I watched her speak the other day and she's definitely a low I.Q. Person pic.twitter.com/YpX2Jhneu8

Instead, Crockett turned what should have been a message of hope into a diatribe about how the world is against her. She’s quick to mention Jim Crow, as if the achievements and progress made since are imaginary. It’s almost insulting to hear her equate political disagreements with the ugliest parts of our history. She seems to be stuck in a spiral of negativity while ignoring how far America has come.
Rather than offer solutions, Crockett chooses to play the blame game. And yet she’s perplexed as to why Trump points her out. It’s not fear of smart opposition, as she claims, but recognition of a self-defeating brand of politics detrimental to America. Trump’s strategy is clear: expose the left’s weak spots. Crockett falls for it every time. She throws herself into the spotlight, unaware of the damage she’s doing to her party and the causes she claims to fight for.
The real terror isn’t fear of “bold, smart Black women” but of these reckless ideologies pervading a once-great party now grasping at straws for leadership. The Democrats would do well to examine who their mouthpieces are and reconsider elevating voices more interested in victimhood than victory. One wonders if they’ll realize that before it’s too late.
